The team behind the popular and hugely successful IP UserGroup today announced the launch of the RFiD UserGroup, an RFiD Technology Forum devised specifically for Security and Safety Professionals. By introducing security integrators and installers to manufacturers and developers of RFiD solutions, via workshops, educational seminars and the new web portal, security professionals can identify the commercial value of RFiD within the security and safety environments and gain confidence in offering it on to their clients.
“RFiD technology is making its debut and must be acknowledged by the security industry as its own “entity”. This technology, as well as new developments in mobile phones utilising RFiD technology, will contribute to an estimated $16 Billion industry by 2016.”
Operating at the Cutting Edge
There has been a step change in RFiD (Radio Frequency Identification) technology over the past few years and the application of RFiD in various market places is set to grow exponentially in the immediate future.
One of the application areas within which the IP UserGroup has significant experience, are those of Security, Safety and Asset and Risk management. In association with the internationally respected IP UserGroup, physical security technology forums, the all new RFiD UserGroup is intended to bring together the RFiD manufacturers, developers and reseller community with the security, risk and asset management industry to develop both technical and commercial relationships.
For the security professionals it is intended to introduce additional products and services which will become increasingly appropriate for their established customer base, providing opportunities to grow and develop business expanding upon the core skills and competencies.
Juan Kirsten, Director General of the ISIO and supported of the RFiD UserGroup stated; “ISIO – International Security Industry Organization is calling for all security industry players and stake holders to join the revolution to bring RFiD to the Security Industry in its own right. The security industry has acknowledged RFiD Technology as a device of access control. With the birth of the latest technology, ‘RFiD software and hardware is now widely available’ – the security industry has to acknowledge RFiD as its own entity”.
Adding; “Security Integrators have a list of services to promote themselves, such as CCTV, Access Control and Perimeter Security specialists. Now, by adding RFiD onto such a list, it will provide the market with new specialist integrators that can integrate more technology, thus supplying more solutions and benefits to end-user clients.”
Entending Knowledge, Understanding and Opportunity
The role the RFiD UserGroup as with the sister IP UserGroup is to Facilitate, Communicate, Educate and Influence, presenting the very latest technology to a knowledge hunrgy and eager audience of security and safety professionals.
RFiD Technology is a valuable asset when applied to security and risk related applications and it is fundamentally important to the on-going growth of the industry that those who are able to introduce the benefits of RFiD to the end-user customer and influence the stake-holders are able to do so with knowledge and confidence. The RFiD UserGroup’s objective, with the support of the industry is to ensure that knowledge, experience, expertise and professional practice is communicated with the security industry at large…
