We are creating a LATIN AMERICAN Spanish language equivalent of the popular UK and USA IP UserGroups, but managed by Latin Americans for Latin Americans. Pablo Reyes who has been instrumental in the success of the IP UserGroup USA and who, many of you who attended the Fontwell (UK) event will have met, will be heading up the organisation based in Quito, Ecuador. He has a broad knowledge of the industry, Spanish is his mother tongue and he will be keen to help non-spanish speaking members enter this exciting new market area.
The IP UserGroup is a dedicated Security Technology Forum providing education and information on IP within physical security and safety applications. We are already active in 85 countries across the globe with 20,000 + members worldwide with a growing number in South America. At an international level the IP UserGroup represents more than 150 market leading companies covering all aspects of physical security and safety technology. From recent research it would appear that LATIN AMERICA is experiencing the same reluctance to move forward with IP networked technology within the Security Industry although the overall growth in the Security and Safety sector is significant - some 35%.
